Adel Ben Bella, Director & Producer
Adel Ben Bella was born in Algeria, spent his youth in Paris, and moved to New York to attend Columbia University's graduate film program.
Through fiction and documentary, Adel's work explores how environments affect intimate relationships and shape the individuals' sense of their own identity. Adel has directed several award-winning short films (‘2 Songs’, ‘Sleepwalker’) screened at major international film festivals (Clermont-Ferrand, Monterrey, Aarhus).
Adel is currently is currently developing ‘New York Stories’ a series of short documentary portraits shot in New York’s five boroughs and has started post-production for 'The World and I', a documentary about loss and reinvention set in California and India.
Adel is based at the Made in New York Media Center in DUMBO, Brooklyn.
Teresa Castillo, Associate Producer
Teresa is the Associate Producer of Seeking New York at 34 Frames. A native Buffalonian, she holds a B.A. in Documentary Studies with concentrations in writing and film/video from the University at Albany.
Teresa’s documentary work focuses on character-driven stories that highlight social justice issues in our communities. In the past she has assisted television productions for National Geographic, WNED-PBS (Buffalo, NY), and WMHT-PBS (Troy, NY).
Pawan Pandey, Associate Producer, Interpreter & Translator
Pawan, a computer scientist, who identifies as a Hindi poet, is based in Pawtucket, RI. Working in tech and being a poet are not incongruous for Pawan, who sees math as just another language with which he can contemplate and describe anything in the universe. Whether with words or in code Pawan aims to make all his creations a work of art in the hopes that generate conversation and additional curiosity in the world.
Pawan led multiple teams in data collection and reporting projects from the original concept to the final delivery of media and video campaigns to public institutions and non-profit organizations across several Indian states. He has also worked as a research assistant, project manager and a communications consultant on a wide array of projects.
