34 Frames is a film production company based in New York. 34 Frames currently produces independent documentary projects.


Adel Ben Bella, Director & Producer

Adel Ben Bella was born in Algeria, spent his youth in Paris, and moved to New York to attend Columbia University's graduate film program. 

Through fiction and documentary, Adel's work explores how environments affect intimate relationships and shape the individuals' sense of their own identity. Adel has directed several award-winning short films (‘2 Songs’, ‘Sleepwalker’) screened at major international film festivals (Clermont-Ferrand, Monterrey, Aarhus).

Adel is currently is currently developing ‘New York Stories’ a series of short documentary portraits shot in New York’s five boroughs and has started post-production for 'The World and I', a documentary about loss and reinvention set in California and India.

Adel is based at the Made in New York Media Center in DUMBO, Brooklyn.

Teresa Castillo, Associate Producer


Teresa is the Associate Producer of Seeking New York at 34 Frames. A native Buffalonian, she holds a B.A. in Documentary Studies with concentrations in writing and film/video from the University at Albany. 

Teresa’s documentary work focuses on character-driven stories that highlight social justice issues in our communities. In the past she has assisted television productions for National Geographic, WNED-PBS (Buffalo, NY), and WMHT-PBS (Troy, NY).

Pawan Pandey, Associate Producer, Interpreter & Translator

Pawan has worked as a communication consultant on a wide array of projects including public services initiatives in the Indian states of Bihar, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh.

Pawan has developed media and video campaigns to support community outreach programs and has been involved in these projects from original concept to final delivery to public institutions or non-profit organizations.

Pawan, who defines himself as a Hindi poet and social activist, is now based in Providence, RI.
